First topic of 10 lectures: Philosophy around Mongolia
This Saturday we will discuss “Persian philosophy”. I will talk about ancient philosophers including Zarathustra, Khurmast, Mani and others. The concept Khurmast tenger and first socialiozation theory arised from those.
Karl Marx’s theory about socialism and communism came from Persia. Nietzsche’s term
“Übermensch” was popularized through his book “Thus spoke Zarathustra”. There will be many subjects limited by time. Time of God will also be discussed.
Our goal is to study what concepts and terms came to us , how they were explained and how they became myth, fairytale and belief. And give meaning to Mongolian anxiety to have history.
“Last Station” will be about people who include themselves to “History of Mongolia”, yet came from distant place. They came with potraits of fictional “khaan” and “burkhan” and localized themselves, yet confused themselves that they are from the present Mongolia. We will discuss and make them all clear.
Last lectutre must give answer to “What possibilties does Mongolia have to talk about philosophy?” From Marc 11 to May 13. Each Saturday. From 11-12:30. Online. Zoom lecture.
